Summer 2026 Prototyping Team

The Prototyping Team is for self-directed students who design, produce, and lead hands-on activities for our STEM outreach programs, especially our Advanced Math Pathways program at the Martin Luther King Jr. Dream Center. Team members will learn skills such as math tutoring, leading small groups, running an XY Plotter and 3D printer, drafting designs in CAD, teaching strategy games, and working with digital electronics components.

Upper elementary, middle, and high school students may join the Prototyping Team and adult volunteers are also welcome. High school students who are at least 14 may apply for a paid position on the team or may serve as volunteers. Team members may choose which of our summer events they plan to attend.

You can see a video about our program created by Education Counts, PBS Michiana.
