The Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI), based in Berkeley, California, sponsors a variety of programs designed to promote mathematical research and support the training of the next generation of mathematicians.
Our executive director, Dr. Amanda Serenevy, accompanied a group of mathematicians during an MSRI-sponsored visit to Math Circles in St. Petersburg and Moscow in November of 2006.
In 2007, MSRI awarded the Riverbend Community Math Center a mini-grant to help us launch some of our math outreach programs.
The Riverbend Community Math Center has since participated in a number of MSRI-sponsored initiatives to cultivate a nation-wide network of Math Circles. In April of 2009, we collaborated with MSRI to organize a Great Circles conference on Math Circles.
We also participated in MSRI's Circle on the Road workshop in March of 2010.
